Viewing and editing a space

Updated October 9, 2026

A space is the shared workplace in flip: it holds teams, flips and members, and a plan is connected to it. The name and plan of the current space are shown at the top of the left sidebar, and its settings are collected in “Space settings”

How to switch to another space

The list of spaces appears if you are a member of several spaces — for example, if you were invited to another company's space

  1. Click the space name at the top of the left sidebar
  2. Select a space in the list — its flips will open

The current space is the first in the list and is marked with a check mark, and each space shows its plan. If you are a member of only one space, there is no list, and the “Space settings” button is next to the space name

How to open space settings

In the left sidebar, click “Space settings” next to the space name. If you have several spaces, open the list of spaces and click the settings icon in the row of the current space

The “Space profile” section opens, and the other sections are listed on the left. To get back to your flips, click “Back to dashboard”

What the space profile shows

The space logo and name are at the top of the profile, and its details are below:

  • “Plan” — the plan connected to the space
  • “Total flips” — how many flips are in the space. On the Mini plan, the limit is shown next to it — 3 flips
  • “Total members” — how many members are in the space. If the plan has a limit, it is shown next to it: 15 members on the Mini plan, 100 on the Business plan. On the Individual plan, it says “no members”
  • “Total teams” — on the Business and Enterprise plans. On the Business plan, the limit is shown next to it — 30 teams
  • “Created” — when the space was created
  • “Plan term” and “Plan end date” — on paid plans

Charts next to the details show how much of the limits is used: flips and members on the Mini plan, licenses and teams on the Business plan

On the Mini and Individual plans, the profile also has a plan card with the plan features — the space owner can go from it to changing the plan. Learn more in the article on plan management

At the bottom of the profile, the owner sees the “Delete space” button — what happens next is described in the article on creating and deleting spaces

The space owner and admins can edit the profile. Other members can see the profile but don't have the “Edit profile” button

  1. Open “Space settings” → “Space profile”
  2. Click the “Edit profile” pencil icon next to the space name
  3. Enter a new name in the “Space name” field — up to 64 characters
  4. To change the logo, click “Upload avatar” and select an image. In the editor, drag the image, adjust the zoom with the slider and click “Save”
  5. Click “Submit”

To remove the logo, click the “Remove avatar” cross on the image in the same window, then click “Submit”. All members of the space see its name and logo in the left sidebar and in the list of spaces

Sections of space settings

  • “Space profile” — the plan, limits and details of the space. All members can see this section
  • “Space members” — the list of members with their roles and teams. All members can see this section, and the owner and admins manage members — learn more in the article Space member roles
  • “Teams” — all teams of the space with the number of flips and members, the creation date and the creator. You can download the list with the “Export to CSV” button and use the team menu to open the team's members, the “About Team” window or delete the team. The owner and admins can see this section
  • “Plan management” and “Payment information” — sections for the space owner. They don't appear on every plan or with every payment method: for example, they are not shown when you pay by invoice. Learn more in the article on plan management
  • “SSO settings” and “Domain management” — the owner and admins can see these sections, and SSO sign-in can be set up on the Business and Enterprise plans. Learn more in the article SSO and domain management
  • “Audit log” — the owner and admins can see this section, and it works on the Enterprise plan. Learn more in the article Space audit log

Limitations

  • Only the owner and admins can change the name and logo. The admin role exists on the Business and Enterprise plans, so on the Mini and Individual plans only the owner edits the profile
  • The space name can be up to 64 characters long and can't be empty
  • On a phone screen, there is no “Space settings” button: tapping the space name only opens the list of spaces. Space settings are available on a computer or tablet
