How subscription payments are charged

Updated October 9, 2026

A paid plan is connected to a space and paid in advance for the selected period. The space owner pays for the subscription and changes its terms. What makes up the price is described in How the subscription price is calculated

How often you are charged

The first payment is made when you buy the plan: the plan is activated right after payment. After that, you are charged at the start of each new period:

  • “1 month” — every 30 days
  • “6 months” — every 180 days
  • “1 year” — every 360 days

The owner can see the date and amount of the next payment in the “Payment information” section on the “My subscription” tab, in the “Next payment details” block. The end date of the current period is also shown in the “Space profile” section, in the “Plan end date” row

How auto-renewal works

After you pay by card, the subscription renews automatically: at the end of the period, the amount for the next period is charged to your saved card. The amount includes the changes scheduled in “Plan management”: a new period, a different plan or fewer licenses. See Space plan management

Auto-renewal turns off if you:

In that case, the plan stays active until the end of the paid period, and then the space switches to Mini. A subscription paid by invoice does not renew automatically

The trial — “Try for ₽1” in the plans window — lasts 14 days and costs ₽1 per license: one license on the Individual plan and no more than three on the Business plan. After the trial, the subscription renews automatically for 1 month at the regular plan price. A trial can be taken once, for a space on the Mini plan

How added licenses are charged

You can add licenses at any time during the period. New licenses are paid right away, by card on the bank page, and only for the days left until the end of the current period:

Amount = monthly license price × number of new licenses × (days left ÷ 30) × (1 − period discount)

  • Monthly license price — the plan price per member, see the plans page
  • Days left — the number of full days left until the end of the paid period
  • Period discount — the same as for the current subscription: 15% for 6 months, 25% for 1 year. Monthly payments have no discount
  • The result is rounded down to a whole ruble

For example, a space has an annual subscription with 90 days left, and you add 2 licenses. Amount = monthly license price × 2 × 3 × 0.75, that is 4.5 times the monthly license price

From the next period, the added licenses are included in the regular payment together with the others. How to add licenses is described in Space plan management

How reducing licenses works

You can reduce the number of licenses at any time, but the new number takes effect from the next period. Until the end of the current period, all paid licenses remain active, and the next payment is for the new number

You cannot have fewer licenses than members in the space: to reduce the number, remove the extra members first. Step-by-step instructions are in Space plan management

What happens if a payment fails

If the bank declines a payment on its page, for example because there is not enough money on the card, flip shows the “Oops!” window. Your plan does not change — try again later or use another card

If the automatic charge at the end of the period fails, it is not retried: the subscription is not renewed, and the space switches to Mini. In the “Payment information” section, on the “Transaction history” tab, this payment has the “Declined” status. What changes in a space on Mini is described in What happens when you cancel your subscription

To get a paid plan again, open “Payment information” → “My subscription” and click “Choose a new plan”

Limitations

  • Only the space owner can pay for the subscription and change its terms
  • Only added licenses are charged right away. Reducing licenses and changing the period or plan change the amount from the next payment
  • A failed automatic charge is not retried
